In the community, chicken is always on demand locally and in the neighbouring areas. In 2019, the foundation invested in a hatchery and 300 chicks. We were able to donate chicks, approximately two per household member. Each member is educated on modern poultry farming techniques and best business practices. Each chicken costing upwards of $7 or (700 Kenya shillings), will grow and lay eggs that will bring about enough income. This generated income can then be used to expand their poultry farm while supplementing daily needs and enhance commercial viability.
